Iran to Hold Int’l Marketing Conference in November

The Islamic Republic of Iran plans to hold an international marketing conference from November 21 to 22 in the capital Tehran, a report said.

World class marketing experts and directors from innovative companies are scheduled to attend a conference titled “Global Marketing Summit” slated to be held at Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University Hall, Huffington Post reported on Tuesday.

Organized by PWorld with Mana Payam as the Event’s Exclusive Partner and Aujan Industries as Platinum Sponsor, the event will address the latest global marketing and communications trends with special focus on customer marketing, experiential marketing, reputation management and social media marketing.

The conference will also include discussions on current marketing trends in Iran.

Hubert Grealish, Co-Founder and Brand Consultant at MPERA, is one of the keynote speakers planned to take part in the event to include international speakers from 15 different countries, including the USA, Europe, and the Middle East.

“I am not at all surprised PWorld have created such a great event as this, but I am impressed. I’m anticipating a very special experience, as fulfilling a set of workshops and talks as you’ll get, which to me as a marketer is a gold. I am particularly also looking forward to the famous Iranian welcomes I have heard so much of, so often also associated with my own old Ireland’s isle. Culturally and otherwise, I am specifically looking to gain a deeper understanding of the prevailing norms there, as a unique opportunity to identify best practice and forge new bonds,” Hubert Grealish said as quoted by Huffington Post.

“In terms of marketing, from my perspective, all too often traditional marketing references rely on so-called ‘1st world’ or outdated templates from the West, so I am keen to celebrate the original thought and Iranian innovations we will find, with their local cases too in marketing and new media. I hope in its own way this event will help redress this. So I am keen to see what we can do, and approach it all with an open mind,” he added.

Following the conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France, and Germany) on July 14, European business executives and international entrepreneurs are shuttling to Iran to lay the groundwork for investment and trade.

The comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the six powers would terminate all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran after coming into force.
